The Model Band sealer is used for gusseted polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), Tyvek, poly-Mylar, foil or nylon bags. It produces sift resistant bag closure for a wide array of products from compost and soil, fertilizer, food products, wood pellets, and industrial chemicals at rates of up to 20 bags per minute.
How the Model Works:
As a filled bag moves along a conveyor, the bag top is manually or automatically formed and fed into the infeed guide of the closer. The bag is then carried through the sealer into the heater section sealer that activates the glue strip on the bag and folds the bag top over on the glue strip. Finally the bag top then passes through a series of compression rollers to compress the walls of the bag together to make the seal closure.
Maintenance is user friendly, with sealing band change in minutes without tools, using the CBE tilt-away drive system. Upgrades and maintenance are easy, with snap-in/snap-out replacement of the temperature controller, and no rewiring necessary. Perhaps the most impressive advantage of the Model 6000 is its overall cost efficiency. It is versatile, expandable, heavy -duty and easily serviced, with the performance and features of much more expensive machines.
Sealing machines for Polyethylene and Barrier Materials:
Multi-purpose machines can be used for both polyethylene and barrier film applications. Units are used in production line applications, usually sod with a conveyor. Bags are guided through the machine using neoprene conveying belts. Sealing requires passing through two 10” heated bars, separated by Teflon sealing bands.
